As a Nashville food photographer, I get to meet the most amazing, passionate people who are pursuing their dreams to make delicious food while creating amazing experiences and connections – and everyone has a slightly different focus and niche. For Chef Elon, it’s all about using organic, real ingredients to create food that’s both delicious and healthy.
Chef Elon is sous chef for the Tennessee Titans football team in Nashville and owner of The Golden Beet in Nashville! Her business specializes in vegan soul food, raw juices, and infused salts. She uses all the best organic ingredients and whole foods, such as raw turmeric, to create the most delicious juices! My favorite is her Glow Juice – pineapple, orange, and turmeric – which is genuinely the BEST juice I’ve ever tasted! You can get it here!
Chef Elon’s father was in the U. S. Army, and she grew in Germany. Her family would take frequent trips to nearby countries including France and Switzerland, so she experienced many different cultures and foods, including her own parents’ African-American and Spanish heritage and cuisine. These experiences as a child helped shape her interest in cooking, and she graduated from culinary school and began working in area restaurants and soon became the sous chef for the Tennessee Titans! During the early days of the COVID shutdown in 2020, Chef Elon used the time to start her own business specializing in vegan soul food, raw juices, and salts infused with herbs such as garlic and lemon basil.
