I’m mom to two boys, wife to my college sweetheart, and a dog-mom to our pup Elsa.
When I’m not photographing, I love doing simple things - reading, listening to podcasts,
baking cookies, eating dinner on the patio, toasting s’mores over a fire pit, canoeing,
and running on the greenway near our house.
I spent more than a decade as a writer and photojournalist for newspapers and
magazines in four different states before starting my own photography business full-time
in 2013.
With my years of experience as a photojournalist, weddings and events were my first
focus. Through 10 years in that fast-paced environment, I learned how to photograph in
every kind of light and to create beautiful images on a tight timeline. This is where my
love of storytelling and my style of photography emphasizing movement and connection
really developed, and I started teaching lighting workshops, receiving awards, and had
my work featured in many publications including People and Nashville Lifestyles
magazine.
I returned to my editorial roots when I started photographing for Edible Nashville
magazine. I found that food and lifestyle photography were the perfect blending of my
photojournalistic style and my love for the spirit of those who create food, promote
connections, and run their own businesses through hard work and passion. These days
my main focus is helping people promote their businesses with beautiful images that
showcase their personalities and products.
I’d love to help you showcase your work and your story. Contact me to learn more!
