I taught preschool for awhile before becoming a full-time photographer, and Macie was in my class as an 18-month-old toddler. I taught older classes each year, and I had Macie in my class for nearly her entire preschool experience! I’m no longer teaching preschool (and Macie is a big kindergartner now), but it was a pleasure to reconnect and to photograph this gorgeous little girl for a children’s Flower Crown Mini Session in September.

I envisioned these sessions as a kind of “woodland forest” theme with lush greenery and goldenrods in bloom just before the onset of fall, and Macie fit the part perfectly. With her simple white sundress and curly blond hair, she looks like she has stepped out of a fairy tale.
