Jessi and Alessio’s elegant spring Cheekwood wedding was magical, and it looked and felt like we could have been in Italy! With blossoming cherry trees and tulips in the gardens, elegant floral installations on the mansion’s stone terrace, and an intimate group of the couple’s closest friends and family, it was just a beautiful day of joy celebrating their love and the joining of families!
Jessi and Alessio are florists and the owners of Wildflowers LLC, so they designed their own floral arrangements and were hard at work putting up the ceremony installation in the wisteria arbor at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens on the morning of their wedding (scroll to the bottom to see a few photos of them hard at work before the ceremony!)
During the ceremony, they planted an olive tree together using dirt from Alessio’s mother’s house in his native Italy. Other personal touches included the pearl and sapphire earrings handmade by Jessi’s stepfather, the groom’s cake from the iconic Manny Randazzo’s Bakery in New Orleans (they met in New Orleans!), the elegant rosary that Jessi wrapped around her bouquet (a gift from Alessio in Italy), and the lush florals that they designed and installed together.
I have to mention that there were thunderstorms in the forecast, and the wind was blowing like crazy, but the rain held off until everyone was indoors for the reception, and it stopped again during the streamer exit. Like I said, it was magical!
It was such an honor to be part of this amazing Cheekwood wedding day! Here’s a blog post with highlights from their amazing wedding day. Congratulations, Jessi and Alessio!
