Kristen and Chuck’s Long Hollow Gardens wedding in Gallatin was just as beautiful and personal as they had hoped! This sunny June garden wedding, planned and coordinated by Ashley or Sweet James Events, started with the bride getting ready in the little white cottage on site, where there’s a big white bridal suite with a mirror – a photographer’s dream bride getting-ready spot! 🙂
The ceremony took place in a beautifully shaded area, with the reception within walking distance at the main greenhouse building. It was so convenient for the guests and for the wedding party, too! This venue is so lovely and full of greenery and flowers, it really is the perfect spot for an elegant spring or summer wedding!
Kristen and Chuck first met at law school in Michigan while teaching First Amendment law to high school students. They were partnered up on this project, and they became close friends, but they secretly both had crushes on each other. They didn’t really start dating until Kristen had moved away, and then they dated long-distance for a short time before deciding they just couldn’t be apart!
When the best man, Jerrod, gave his speech, he talked about how Chuck has always been focused on the big picture in the world, even back in high school. While most guys were focused on the usual teenage problems related to school and girls, Chuck was wearing T-shirts about saving Rwanda and ending genocide. Chuck is still focused on human-rights work today, and you can tell immediately when you meet this genuine, warm couple that they’re all about making the world a better place together. After their wedding, they headed out for a long honeymoon in Ireland, staying around different B&B’s along the coast!
It has been such a joy to work with Kristen and Chuck, and I hope you’ll take a minute to scroll through their beautiful day to see all the little touches that made it so reflective of who they are as a couple.
Thanks to these wonderful vendors who all helped to make Kristen and Chuck’s wedding day such a success!:
