Lily was called to the Torah earlier this month as a bat mitzvah, with her bat mitzvah at The Temple and Loveless Barn Nashville.
She did an outstanding job leading the service at The Temple in Nashville, and her family, the rabbi and cantor had the most beautiful things to say about Lily. One thing that I remember clearly from Lily’s father’s words is when he said that Lily has a kindness in her heart that can’t be taught – it’s a kindness that is just part of her soul. After getting to know Lily during her portrait session and at her bat mitzvah, I can absolutely sense how true this is!
Lily’s bat mitzvah service was followed by luncheon at The Temple (and I’ve included a few shots from that below). Later in the evening, they had a joyful celebration with friends and family at Loveless Barn, including a caricature artist, Jeni’s Ice Cream station, custom air-brushed baseball hats, a popcorn station, a temporary tattoo station, games, LOTS of dancing, and one of the most beautiful custom sweets tables I’ve ever seen!
Here’s an overview of Lily’s bat mitzvah with more than 100 photos from throughout the day! Keep scrolling to the end to see some fun dancing shots and hula-hooping! 🙂
Thank you to the Marger family for choosing me to document this special time in your lives – it was a joy to photograph this event for you. I’m excited to see the images in print in their heirloom album soon!
