Laura and John Robert wanted a soft, natural look for part of their romantic winter engagement session photos, along with a more urban chic vibe at the pedestrian bridge in downtown Nashville for the rest! To make this happen, we needed a beautiful park area close to downtown that would provide enough shade to filter harsh sunlight – not easy to find in February when there are no leaves on the trees!
After scouting around at several locations, I decided that Shelby Park would be the closest and would give us the shade we needed at this time of day, and it worked beautifully. We were able to start at Shelby Park and head over to the pedestrian bridge in downtown Nashville and get some shots before the sun went down. It was about 20 degrees outside, but you’d never know it – these two were such troupers!
Also, huge thanks to bride-to-be Laura for planning out their wardrobe so carefully – it’s so important to how the finished product looks!
Here’s a peek at some of their engagement photos, and I’m excited for their wedding in May at Scarritt-Bennett Center with a reception to follow at The Bell Tower.
