The sun was setting on a warm spring evening when I met with Nora and Jared for their engagement photo session at Duck Pond Farm in Mt. Juliet. The two are getting married next month at the 120-acre farm – a perfect spot for this outdoorsy couple.
Nora and Jared have been engaged since July, when Jared proposed on the beach at sunrise. They are a beautiful match, with both enjoying hiking, camping, canoeing and reading, eating at new places – and quiet nights at home, watching movies together.
Nora and Jared wanted a natural setting for their engagement photo session that reflected their love of the outdoors, and they also wanted to incorporate Nora’s teenage son, Brantley, into the session, as they are coming together as a family. It was apparent that these three have a great relationship, and Brantley (such a sweet and handsome kid!) was a great sport.
Here are some of my favorite shots from our afternoon. I think you can see in the photos their love for each other and their sense of fun.
Congratulations, Nora and Jared, and I’m looking forward to photographing your wedding in May!
