Alden’s Nashville bridal portrait session was a beautiful blend of urban and natural settings, and she also incorporated her love of the piano for some indoor shots.
We started in Germantown for pictures at her piano – an idea that I loved! These are so quiet and elegant, and this setting showed off her lace gown from White Dresses Boutique in Nashville with its lace back, buttons, and full skirt. From there we went outside for a few urban pictures at a nearby brick building and along the tree-lined streets with the bright yellow foliage! We were so lucky to get such a beautiful, sunny day in late November!
(Side note: Alden gets the award for the most relaxed bride after stepping into dog poop in the grass! She stayed completely calm, and her mom grabbed some napkins from a nearby restaurant and cleaned off the shoes, and we were back in action.) 🙂
After photographing in Nashville’s Germantown neighborhood, we drove to the west side of Nashville for some outdoor pictures at a city park with a backdrop of stone walls, trees, and golden winter sunlight. We took a variety of photos, from classic bridal portraits to more editorial shots full of movement and light.
As the sun started to set, we hopped into Alden’s mom’s car and chased the light! I wanted to get some shots of Alden twirling in her gorgeous, flowing dress, and also some more casual, fun pictures full of movement with her veil glowing in the sunlight. I’m so glad we were able to get these final shots, and I’m so glad that Alden and her mom were on board with hopping in the car and finding the light! It was a beautiful way to round out her portrait session.
This is one of my favorite bridal sessions ever because of the different kinds of photos we took – from the quiet indoor shots, to fun and modern urban shots, to the more classic, artsy outdoor shots with the golden, glowy sun. Check out some highlights from Alden’s portrait session below. Special thanks to Katie-Laine Thornton for doing such a beautiful job on Alden’s hair and makeup, and to Alina at Petals and Fields for the gorgeous flowers!
