Impressions of New York City, Street Photography Style

June 12, 2014

Hello, NYC!

This Tennessee girl is fascinated by New York City, with its constant energy and compelling blend of old and new, grit and beauty. My family traveled there last week for a mix of business and fun, and we packed as much as we could into a very short trip.

Street photography is a bit more complicated with two little boys in tow, but we had a great time exploring the city from the Upper West Side to the Lower East Side, and I captured some impressions of the bustling Big Apple as we went along.

Here are a few of my favorite shots:

And here’s my little family on the subway. Do we blend in or what? 🙂

Great shots. I especially liked the open subway door picture. It could have been on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post.
